Melissa Belew Dougherty, 64, of New Albany, passed away December 14, 2019 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. She was born May 26, 1955 in New Albany, Indiana to the late William and Peggy Belew. She enjoyed Indiana basketball, and spending time with family
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Bobby N. Dougherty.
Melissa is survived by a son, Joshua Dougherty and his wife, Amanda and a daughter, Jessica Dougherty; seven grandchildren, Jacob Dougherty, Elijah Dougherty, Isabelle Dougherty, Tiffany Dougherty, Jack Dougherty, Taylor Dougherty and Kylie Dougherty.
Visitation will be from 2-8 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 with burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the U of L Hospital and the Norton Healthcare Pavilion staff and doctors for everything that they did. As well as Cindy Googe, and Roger Mcadams for their support and guidance, as well as friends and family that has helped in this time of mourning.
