Melvin L. Price, 69 years of age died Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at his residence in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Melvin was born October 30, 1941 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Richard E. and Henrietta Hammer Prince and was a retired mechanic with the Courier Journal in Louisville Kentucky. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #89 in Louisville. Melvin was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Lynn Prince and brother Richard Prince.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Prince; son John "Bumper" Prince; sisters, Betty Jean Craig, Wanda Cobb, Judy Blessett; brothers Ronald Prince, Terry Prince, Tony Prince, Kurt Prince; grandchildren, John Prince and Zachary Holly; mother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Durbin; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Pence.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. A graveside service will be held noon Saturday at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany
