Norman William Barksdale

Norman William Barksdale, 71, of New Albany, Indiana passed away February 15, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 27, 1949 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William and Mary Guess Barksdale. He was the owner of Barksdale Home Remodeling and attended Shawnee Baptist Church. He was passionate about his collection of restored hot rods, enjoyed attending local car shows while listening to oldies music. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Deborah Cranmer Barksdale; a daughter, Tonya (Jon) Simpson; two sons, Ronald Barksdale and Michael (Sarah) Barksdale; grandchildren, Mikey, Penelope, Jaycie, Erika, Alexis and Jonathan; two great-grandchildren, Carter and Easton; a brother, Donald Barksdale; as well as two nieces and special aunt, Linda Barksdale. Visitation will be 2-8 pm on Sunday February 21, 2021 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday February 22, 2021 at the funeral home with private burial in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
