Phyllis A. Catt

Phyllis A. Catt, 65, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 12, 2020. She was born on July 30,1954 to the late Eugene and Jeannie Popp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Stephen Bradley Catt. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, loyal friend, and co-worker to many people who will cherish her memory. She was a master gardener, cook, IU basketball fan, and traveler. She fought her cancer diagnosis with determination and grace. Phyllis was a Clarksville High School graduate of 1972. She retired from American Commercial Barge Line / Jeff Boat after forty-four years of service. She is survived by two sons, Robert Catt (Heidi), Gavin Catt (Lauren); grandson, Harrison Catt; granddaughter, Emmerson Catt; a brother, Dale Popp (Teresa); two sisters, Joan Popp and Susan Popp, and many adoring nieces and nephews. A reception of family and friends will be Friday, January 17, 2020 from 2-6 pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana with a celebration of Phyllis’ life at 6 pm at the funeral home chapel. The family has requested donations to the Healing Place in lieu of flowers.
