Ralph David Summers

Ralph "David" Summers, age 68, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025. David was born on October 6, 1956, to the late Paul David Summers and Suzanna E. (Hammett) Summers. David was an avid animal lover, he was known for being very patriotic and showed his love for his country, but most of all he loved being a cowboy. His favorite movie was McLintock, and he was John "The Duke" Wayne's biggest fan. David had so much love for so many things, but no more than the love for his family and welcoming new babies to his family.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Rauch Inc., Hillcrest Skilled Nursing, and Southern Care Hospice for their wonderful care over the years, and becoming truly a family to David.

David is preceded in death by his parent; Paul and Suzanna Summers.

David is survived by his sisters; Paula (James) Hoefer and Cathy Summers; a brother, Robert E. Summers; niece and nephews, Jamie Summers, Brian (Stephanie) Freker, and Christopher Freker; and great nieces and great nephews; Jordyn (Noah) Halley, Elijah Summers, Olive Freker, and Joshua Freker.

A Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

His Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 11:00 am with a graveside service to follow at Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Rauch Inc.
