RALPH EDWARD WEBB, 80, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016. The son of the late Guy and Bertha Morris Webb, Ralph was born November 22, 1935 in New Albany. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company after 29 years of service. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 20 years, Walking Books for 18 years, and at Providence Home for over 8 years. He loved to golf and pitch horseshoes. He was in three world horseshoe pitching tournaments and belonged to the National Horseshoe Association and the New Salisbury Golf Course. Ralph was a member of Christ Community Church of the Nazarene. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Ronald, Janet, and Michael “Mick” Webb.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Rita Lee Webb; sons, Scott (Sheryl), Bruce (Shellie), and Brian (Tonya) Webb; and grandchildren, Jeremy, Austin, Justin, Hunter, and Maddie.
Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be 10:00 am Thursday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
