Robert L. Johnson

Robert L. Johnson, age 87, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. Robert was born in Bloomer, Wisconsin on May 15, 1936 to the late Robert H. Johnson and Emily Vodacek Johnson. He was retired from Big Springs Country Club and Koch Meat Company. He was a member of Charlestown Road Southern Baptist Church and loved to fish and hunt. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Fanny L. Johnson; two brothers, David Johnson and Billy Johnson; a step daughter, Brenda Sue Grut. Bob is survived by children, Daniel (Tessie) Johnson, Timothy (Darlene) Johnson, Steve (Carol) Johnson, Dennis (Tracy) Johnson, Linda Travelstead, Kenneth (Tami) Sprayberry, James (Cindy) Sprayberry and Mary (Jim) Hunt; nineteen grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Funeral service will be Friday, September 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to CBN.
