Ruby (Hamby) Ramey, 82 years of age passed away Monday, December 30, 2019. She was born January 27, 1937 in Brookside, KY to the late Hershel and Sarah Hamby. Ruby retired from the Interfaith Child Development Center and was a member of Eastside Christian Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Raymond Ramey, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
Ruby is survived by her daughters, Patti Ash (Harry Wright) and Sharon Thompson; grandchildren, Kristen Jones and Alek Wambold; great grandchildren, Kaden and Kimbrea, brothers, Hershel Hamby Jr. (Karen), James Hamby (Susan), Glen Hamby, Paul Hamby (Linda), and Donnie Hamby (Maureen), sisters, Emma West (Charles), and Peggy Scalf (Denver).
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 11:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
