Shane Schindler, age 55, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Shane was born on September 25, 1969 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Robert Schindler and the late Marina Lomax Schindler. He was a transportation manager and driver for Hydra of Jeffersonville since 2019. He was a member of NHRA, NRA and loved drag racing. He was a beloved husband, father, son and papa.
In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by a brother, Scooter Vester.
Shane is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Kerri DeGonia- Schindler; three sons, Ethan (Natalie) DeGonia, Jake Patton and Parker (Ashley) Patton; a daughter, Olivia Schindler; bonus son, Keaton Vester; father, Robert Schindler; and grandchildren, Gabriel DeGonia and Ezekiel DeGonia.
Visitation for Shane will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
Funeral service will be Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with private burial at Atkins Chapel Cemetery.
