Sharon Kay Shannon

She was a native of Terre Haute, IN, a longtime employee at the Vigo County Court House, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany, IN. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Vernon R. Shannon; and her father, Earl Bealmear Sr.

Survivors include son, Steven J. Shannon (Rose) , New Albany; daughter, Laura Ann Ranieri (Paul), Palatine, IL; mother, Norma Jean Piper , Terre Haute, IN; brother, Earl Bealmear II (Jane) , Terre Haute; sister, Cheryl Piper Wilson , Terre Haute; grandchildren, Audrey and Claire Shannon and Joseph and Madeline Ranieri; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany and 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Mattox-Ryan Funeral Home, 602 S. 7th St., Terre Haute. Her funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Terre Haute with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute.
