Stephen W. Walls

STEPHEN W. WALLS, 60 years of age, died Saturday, June 26, 2010. He was a devoted husband of 38 years, loving father and wonderful g-pa. He retired from Vectren, Inc., formerly Indiana Gas Company. Steve was active in little league, softball and was a member of Wooded View Golf Club. He was a former member of State Street Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and youth minister. Steve is preceded in death by his father, Irvin Walls; and two brothers, David and Larry Walls. Although short, Steve’s time on earth will be forever remembered and cherished by all those who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Rita G. (Baker) Walls of Clarksville IN; daughter, Ashlee E. Walls of Indianapolis IN;

son, Nathan W. Walls of Clarksville IN; daughter-in-law, Holly M. Walls of Clarksville IN; mother, Anna (Gardner) Walls of New Albany IN; sister, Peggy Walls of Clarksville IN; and grandchildren, Webster, Casey and Carter.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am ~ 8:00 pm Thursday, July 1, 2010 and after 9:00 am Friday, July 2, 2010 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN. His Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Friday in the Kraft Chapel with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Online condolences may be made at www.kraftfuneralservice.net .
