Dr. William Roger Cox, 82, has passed at Floyd Memorial Hospital. He was a veterinarian and retired from the USDA in Corydon and helped many people in recovery over the last 40 plus years. He was a great blessing to us all and the Kentuckiana area. He was a respected member of the community and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his 5 children, William “Happy” Cox (Julie), Joni Dobbins Haynes (Steve), Molly Cox , Chris Cox (Lisa), and Rita Levine (Paul); 9 grandchildren, Chris, Dan, Dustin, Zach, Whitney, Kaitlin, Amy, Justin, and Adriel; and 15 and counting great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Byrne Cox, parents, Aaron and Clodie Cox, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 pm Monday, August 18 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana with a reception of family and friends to follow.
