William Lee Shireman, 84, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022. William was born in Orleans, Indiana to the late Perry and Alice Wheat Shireman. He retired from the United States Postal Service with over 30 years of service. He was an avid golfer and euchre player. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where he served in many capacities thru the years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Shireman and a grandson, Joshua Shireman.
Bill is survived by his wife of 66 years, Donna W. Shireman; three sons, Dennis (Teresa) Shireman, David Shireman and Douglas Shireman; grandchildren, Christopher (Lauren) Shireman, MegAnne (Austin) Duke, Erica Shireman, Alysen (Jordan) Adams, Kelsey (Chris) Short and Mason Shireman; five great grandchildren, Graeme, Quinn, Trace, McKinney and Jackson; and many extended family and friends.
Visitation for William will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150 and Friday, November 11, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, IN 47150.
His funeral service will be Friday, November 11, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150 with burial to follow in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
