Angelina Moniz Santos

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Sylvia) Moniz, she was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mrs. Santos had worked as a stitcher for Cliftex Manufacturing for 46 years.

She enjoyed line dancing with her sisters and playing Bingo with her friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Amancio of New Bedford and Barbara Buse and husband Albert of East Granby, CT; a son, David Santos and wife Linda of Fairhaven; a brother, Edmond Moniz and wife Barbara of New Bedford; a sister, Stella Cody and husband Edward of Fairhaven; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grandchild and siblings, Mary Ponte, Antone and Frank Moniz, Deolinda Athaide and John Moniz.

Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 8:30am from the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30am in St. Mary’s Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8pm. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery.
