

Born October 13, 1929 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to the Albany and Rose Alba Auger. Anita is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ferdinand and Alfred and a sister, Jean and her ex-husband, Raymond H. LeBlanc
She is survived by her daughters: Debra LeBlanc of California, Susan Kniffen and her husband, Kevin of Idaho and grandson, Nathan Kniffen of California.
Anita was a skilled stitcher in her early years and later worked and retired from Sippican Inc. in Marion, Massachusetts.
Anita loved to read, dance, shop and even though she wasn’t much of a cook she enjoyed dining at various restaurants with family and friends.
For the past 10 years she suffered from progressive vascular dementia. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Bedford Gardens during her residency there and to Compassionate Care Hospice Group for their support in her final days.
Anita was a wonderful Mother to her daughters and a friend to all. We will all miss her very much and will always carry her memory in our hearts!
A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 AM Friday, August 10 at St. Mary’s Church, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd, New Bedford, MA. A reception following the service will be held at Pa Raffa’s Restaurant.
