Antonio J. Dias, 48 of New Bedford, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his family at his side. He was the son of Armindo and Preciosa (DeJesus) Dias. Born in New Bedford, Tony was a lifelong resident of the city. He graduated from New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School and was employed as a Union Laborer.
Tony loved his family dearly, especially his nieces Kahlen and Marley and his dog Lilly. They were the light of his life.
He loved all sports, debating, politics and we could always count on him to figure out anything electronically. We’re all going to miss his daily texts with all current news updates, jokes and stories.
Tony will be forever missed and loved by his family and all who knew him. Tony leaves behind his parents, his sister, Ana Dias and her daughters Kahlen Bertoldo and Marley Dauphin; many uncles, aunts and cousins who loved each other like siblings.
