Betty spent her early years as a bank teller in New Bedford; then married and moved to Dartmouth to raise her family. She was the wife of the late Walter Gregory, and the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Szubargo) Pollitt.
Betty enjoyed family events and outings. She spent several years enjoying painting and taking art classes. She also enjoyed reading, shopping, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She lived most of her adult life in Dartmouth, returning to New Bedford in her later years.
Betty was predeceased by her brother Joseph Pollitt and her nephew Jeffrey Pollitt.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynne (Gregory) Boerth and her husband Donald of Somerset; two sons, Dana Gregory and his wife Doreen, and Bruce Gregory, all of New Bedford; a granddaughter, Meaghan Gregory; four grandsons, Jason Almeida, Craig Gregory, Jeffrey Boerth and Joel Boerth; and two great- grandchildren.
