Brandon R. Barao

He was born in New Bedford, the son of Gary R. Barao and his wife Susan of Acushnet and Tracy (DaCosta)Mello and her husband John of Beverly Hills, FL.

"Brandon was a very loving and caring person. He was always making people laugh and could light up a room with his smile. He had a heart of gold and always tried to help others. He enjoyed working on cars, spending time at the beach, playing basketball and spending time with his family and friends. "

In addition to his parents and step-parents, Brandon is survived by his three sisters, Nicole Flechsig and her husband Christopher of Dartmouth, Courtney Barao of Acushnet and Kyleigh Barao of Acushnet; his maternal grandmother Nancy Houghton of W. Wareham; great grandfather Leo Pinto of New Bedford; three nephews Christopher, Jacob and Andrew Flechsig and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brandon was also the grandson of the late Raymond and Jeannette Barao Sr and Wayne Houghton and great-grandson of the late Rita Pinto.

His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday February 9, 2017 at 10AM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8PM.
