Constance Lorraine Grime, age 85, passed away on February 12, 2025, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Acushnet, MA, Connie was the daughter of the late Agnes (St. Pierre) and Adelard Jacques. She graduated from St. Francis Xavier School in Acushnet and Fairhaven High School.
Connie met her loving husband Thomas while working at Giusti Baking Co. Married in 1959, Connie and Tom started their family of four beautiful children. Connie was devoted to her family and loved spending time at the cottage and supporting her children's interests as a Cub Scout Den mother, dance mom, and CCD Instructor. She was loved by all their friends as they loved hanging out at Mem’s house. She shared her interest in ceramics, arts and crafts, and enjoyed her frequent visits to the casino and playing bingo. She also loved her many fur babies.
When her children were school age, she returned to work, as a Breakfast Coordinator at McDonalds, then Admitting/Switchboard Operator at Parkwood Hospital, and a Bookkeeper for 17 years at the NB School Department until her retirement.
Connie is survived by three of her four children: Thomas L Grime Jr. and his wife Tricia, Matthew J. Grime and his wife Kristen, and her loving daughter Jennifer. She adored her grandchildren, Thomas L. Grime III and his wife Jillian, Patrick A. Grime, and his wife Courtney, Bridgette K. Grime, Lesley Souza, and her husband Patrick, Jacob M. Grime, and his fiancé Jessica. Connie was blessed to have enjoyed the last 4 years with her great-grandchild and the light of her life, Maeve Souza, and her sister, Claire Braley of Dartmouth. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, their families, and cousins.
Connie was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Thomas L. Grime, her youngest son Andrew R. Grime, Brother Adelard Jacques, and Sisters Jeanne Lefevre and Dianne Jacques.
