

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Nuno and Hilda (Sousa) DaCosta.
Dan was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, and worked as a Printer for Dartmouth Finishing and Duro Textiles. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, going on cruises and casinos. If you needed anything fixed, he was the handyman for any job. Spending time with his family was very important, especially his grandchildren and his dogs, Quinn and Trixie. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife, Rachel, he is survived by his loving Children, Bethany Massa and her husband Marc of New Bedford, Jillian Forgue and her husband Lucas of New Bedford, and Daniel DaCosta and his fiancé Casmere Fareas of Fairhaven; his grandchildren, Kaylie and Emma Forgue of New Bedford, and Cenceritti DaCosta of Fairhaven; his brother, James DaCosta and his wife Aida of Dartmouth; brother of the late Natalie DaRocha. Also survived by brother-in-laws, Frank DaRocha, George Piva and Mark Piva; his nephews, Adam DaRocha, Christopher, Kevin, and Steven DaCosta.
