Daniel E. Henry, of Acushnet, Massachusetts, passed away on December 26, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on November 12, 1959, in New Bedford, Daniel was the beloved son of the late Ellis and Barbara (Kennedy) Henry.
Daniel was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he earned several distinguished honors, including the Expert Rifle Badge M16, Expert Hand Grenade, Army Service Ribbon, Expert Infantryman Badge, and the Marksman Badge 31 Millimeter Rifle.
After his military service, Daniel worked diligently as a fisherman for many years and was also employed at Decas Cranberry.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Beverly Vargas, Barbarajean Felix, and Ann Jones, and was predeceased by several siblings. He is also survived by his special nieces, who cared for him dearly, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In his personal life, Daniel had a great passion for history and war documentaries, which he enjoyed watching at home. He also loved playing horseshoes, fishing with family and friends, and listening to his radio.
Private services are in the care of Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
