Daniel C Medeiros

Daniel Medeiros, age 86, of New Bedford, peacefully passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was the beloved Husband of Patricia (Gelinas) Medeiros with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Hipolito and Mary (Carbalho) Medeiros.

Daniel worked at the Alden Corrugated Factory for 26 years and proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing golf, watching all the old western and classic movies, and was an avid sports fan. The Golden Greek Restaurant became his daily spot for socializing with his friends after his long walks around Buttonwood Park. He was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, and he will be deeply missed by many.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife Patricia, is his son, Frank Medeiros and his wife Diane of Lakeville; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Kevin Medeiros of Lakeville; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Kevin Medeiros whom he adored and was the brother of the late Lena Medeiros, Clotilde Costa, Hazel Ambrose, Irene Medeiros, William Medeiros, Frank Medeiros and Armand Carvalho.
