I'm sorry to hear about your loss I went to school with David was a funny guy.

One year of a lifetime of memories. I think of you often, many memories and words unsaid. I miss you.

I first met Dave  when working at Raytheon. Dave's drive for helping people is what mostly attracted me to him, he was always offering input and advice. We both worked wee hours back then and I looked so forward to our talks in the lab.. whether it be stock tips, real estate investing, skiing/snowboarding.. I always knew he was approaching my desk with his easily detectable fast pace steps, I would already be smirking when he entered my cubicle. I don't think I have ever met such a well put together human being.

I recall Dave bailing me out when my family needed to move out of our apartment in a short time frame. He had an apartment available two houses down from our current place.. we fixed it up together and moved in shortly after. As his friend, I loved hearing how the 1st floor tenants spoke of him, always a proud feeling when others can speak so highly of a friend like they did. 

I recall Dave's chat with me about his own experience with losing his father when my dad passed. "Davey, watch, you're going to see how many times you will speak, sound and act like your dad now that he is gone." Boy was he right, I always think of Dave when I have those moments. As I write that, I can hear loud and clear the way he would call me "Davey".. he said it the same way every time.  We bumped into each other at The Bayside restaurant last summer, it had been a long while since we last spoke. We tried to quickly catch up and that was when he informed me of his battle. Even in the face of all that, I really couldn't tell a difference in the man that never failed at sending me on my way with so many positive thoughts.. whether he meant to or not, he always seemed to inspire me to do more, or be better at something. I think that was definitely one of his many super hero powers. I take such pride in knowing and hopefully carrying on, his contagious generosity and sincerity.  I can't imagine how missed he will be by his family, but it would seem he had quite the tribe :) 

Dave was such a nice guy. I worked at Lockheed for almost 35 years and Dave was just the most pleasant guy that you could encounter: kind, cooperative, and caring. My condolences to his family. I lost my father a few months ago and I know that these remembrances of our lost loved ones can mean so much for their legacies.

Glad I got to see David a few weeks ago. One of my favorite guys growing up in Freetown/Lakeville. Hockey was where it started and I can tell some good crazy stories. Hope your in a better place. RIP Dave.  JimK

The picture is from 2014 when a bunch of us were on travel in Maryland. We had dinner together near this little lake that ran swan boats. After dinner, we set out to rent one for $20, an afordable 4 bucks apiece. Always one to save a nickel, Dave convinced the woman running the operation that we deserved the military discount so she called her boss and he agreed that the 5 of us could have the boat for $10. Renting the boat was hilarious and so was the 5 of us trying to paddle 600 pounds on that little lake. I'm sure Dave could tell this story so it would be as funny and fun as it was. That's one of the things I'll miss most about him. I loved hearing his stories. He had a great life and he will truly be missed.

Wow were to begin, So many good memories with you growing up as a kid.  Starting back in the Lil brown house when we lived a couple houses down from you. You use to bring us swimming at the high school all the time.  You were in the process of building the new house and I use to get off the school bus at your house everyday and make you an ice coffee before walking back to my house.  You said they were the best ice coffees lol.  Sometimes I would help you with what ever you were doing with the house at the time.  Then it seemed like everyone got divorced at the same damn time.  And we moved away but you always welcomed me and made me feel like I was still part of the family, me and Mel had many of sleep overs over the years and did something’s that we weren’t supposed too but man we always got caught!!! Then you met Mimi and Her and her boys became part of your family and still you always welcomed me no matter what and for that I will forever be grateful. From the soccer games in the back yard fighting over who gets the ball that went in the water lol to the cookouts, boat rides and going out for ice cream and ice skating either in the lake or at the rink, bonfires on the lake.  When I got my license I said I wanted to learn how to drive a standard so you threw me the keys to your  Mazda Pick up and told Us to figure it out and that we did around the neighborhood until I was good enough for the streets lol  always making us laugh when you were trying to dance to our music, us teaching you “the snake” and I can still picture you doing it in my head to that Michael Jackson song that always reminds me of you when I hear it to this day.  And many more memories but I’m limited in space here so those I will hold near and dear to my heart always.  Again Thank You for always making me feel like part of your family as I couldn’t imagine my life without Cousin and the kids. Know that I will always be there for them. And you will forever be in my heart ❤️ Love You Uncle David 

I am so sorry for your loss. David was funny, smart and kind. I feel blessed to have known him, even for a short time.  I remember the first time I met him. He “ interviewed “ us and toured our cancer center to see if he wanted to get his treatment there. He was so knowledgeable about his illness and the treatments he was receiving. He was his own advocate, I really admired that. Sue, you were a strong advocate for him as well. Making sure his appointments were lined up, that communication between us and Boston was seamless. You both put everything into David’s care. I believe that is why he lived as long as he did. I am truly blessed to have known you both. 

My deepest sorrow to Sue and the children. A flow of a lifetime of memories since childhood has me frozen. The realization of how precious life and time is.

Fair winds and following seas, Shipmate. Your enthusiasm and smile will stay with me forever. 

Dave was a lot like my dad-funny and rebellious and those qualities were what made him to be like the brother I never had. Without him the world is a darker, quieter place. Will miss him much.

Dave, you lived an amazing life, I have been in awe of the many things you have done. So many memories and shared interests. Jackie and I wished we could have gone on another cruise with you and Sue. So much fun and never a dull moment. One of my favorite memories now (although I was terrified when we did it!) was sneaking into the Hilton Beach Resort in the Bahamas--Dave-"just act like we belong!". Ha! Easy for you to say! You and Jackie were like let's do it! and Sue and I were like Oh crap! Of course we got caught.  Vintage Dave.  Our whole family will miss you. You were like a brother to me and I believe you are with the Lord now. 
Until we meet again. 

We spent a month in Greece together for work.  Driving around the island in those rental cars...you could only imagine the trouble we got into.....we would occasionally stop and pick oranges off trees on the side of the road despite the signs saying otherwise.  Dave would pull up right to the trees and I would take some fruit....then he sped away.   To this day I'm still looking for those sunglasses that flew off my head haha.  Oh yes and I had to slam on my brakes another time so he could go try to catch a goat on the side of the road.  So many laughs left me gasping for air.  Love you Dave.  

Sue, I'm praying for you and your family.  I know if I am this sad, I can't even imagine how you must feel.

RIP DAVE, I REMEMBER SAVING THE PURPLE PEOPLE EATER WHEN IT FLOATED AWAY DURING A STORM YOU WERE SO THANKFUL FOR ME GETTING IT BACK TO THE DOCK, AND GETTING SOAKED IN THAT DOWN POUR AT MOOSEHEAD LAKE, AHH THOSE WERE THE DAYS

I think Nancy and Jay said it perfectly, "too many memories"..... and so many stories. Dave was the best storyteller. My favorite has to be negotiating the price of the empty water jug with the homeless guy. I believe they were getting ready to throw us out of the restaurant the night Dave told that one. I couldn't speak. I was laughing so hard I was crying. It's difficult to put into words what Dave meant to me. Dave took me to my first concert. Dave took me snow skiing for the first time. Dave taught me to barefoot water-ski. Dave taught me about investing. Dave taught me the importance of buying a house. Dave kicked my butt in ping-pong. And yes, Dave got me in a heck of a lot of trouble. Dave was my big brother. June and I will miss him dearly.

Gramps I love you so much you have always been there for me when David wouldn’t. I have lots of memories with you two of my memories is when when we went for a ride in the boat and got stuck in the mud and it took us a long tine to get out uncle Matt went to find us on his jet ski because we were gone long and he couldn’t find us. Then the time you didn’t take your medicine and we got a frappe then you went home and took a poop and came out and said that it was like a Machine gun. Then the time we went for a ride in your truck and you went through a big puddle and got the truck stuck and had to have your friend pull us out. I love you Gramps💙💙💙💙💙 I will be there for Mimi for you 

To many memories to share... David you will be missed as a loving friend and brother.  Campfires will never be the same without Rebeiro stories!!! We love you 💔
