Dolores Santos

Dolores (Costa) Santos, 94 of New Bedford, passed away on May 31, 2025 in Palm Harbor, FL. Born on September 21, 1930, Dolores lived a full life surrounded by family and friends. She was the wife of the late Samuel Santos and the late Lawrence Braga.

Dolores had a passion for ceramics, bingo, and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed traveling and had a deep love for music, particularly country music and Elvis.

She is survived by her loving sons, Roger Bergeron and Lawrence Braga, along with his wife Ann-Marie. Dolores was a proud grandmother to Ashleigh and Craig Braga and a great-great-grandmother to Kayleigh Braga and Julianna Attanasio. She is also survived by her siblings, Patricia Silvia, Evangelin Morin, and Rebecca Camire. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rita Thompson and Lilian Santos.

A visitation will be held at Rock Funeral Home, located at 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA, on June 9, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on June 10, 2025, from 9:00 am to 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford, Massachusetts, at 10:00 am. Dolores will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery, 1100 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA, with a burial service commencing at 11:15 am.

Dolores will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
