

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Gustave and Aurize (Tremblay) La Marche she was a lifelong area resident. She was a communicant of the former St. Mary’s Church, New Bedford.
Dorothy graduated from St. Anthony High School and she worked as a Supervisor at Cameo Curtain for 25 years before her retirement. Mrs. DeCicco attended IBM Training School and she was a VIP member of the Royal Travellers. She was very active at St. Mary’s Church where she was a member of the Choir, a former lector, a past president of the Women’s Guild, she taught CCD, and was a BINGO caller.
Mrs. DeCicco was on the Board and a former secretary at St. Mary’s School. She was a member of the Stetsonaire’s Club and she sang in the chorus of the New Bedford Symphony. Dorothy was also an active resident at Whaler’s Place where she also called BINGO. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and she was an avid reader.
She is survived by her three children, David R. DeCicco and his wife Judith of Taunton, Janice L. DeCicco of New Bedford, and Richard M. DeCicco of Fairhaven; two grandchildren, Jessica DeCicco-Carey and her husband Kyle and Christine DeCicco; two great grandchildren, Alice DeCicco-Carey and Archie DeCicco-Carey along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Roland LaMarche.
Her funeral will be Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 9 a.m. from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090 or www.alz.org.
