

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late James W. and Lena V. (Hindley) O’ Grady, she had resided in New Bedford for most of her life before moving to Michigan to live with her daughter.
Mrs. Wade had worked as a stitcher in the local textile industry for several years. She created beauty through her flower garden, interior decorating and numerous crafts and sewing projects. Her inner beauty was reflected in her lifelong care of family and friends, her love of music, dancing and singing and her generous spirit. Her favorite relaxation was card playing and having a cup of tea with friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra M. Rovas and husband Bill of Marine City, MI; daughter-in-law, Frances Wade of Sarasota, FL; two grandsons, Matthew J. Rovas and wife Christina of Washington Township, MI and Bradford Wade and wife Jessica of Pittsburgh, PA; three great-grandchildren; Nate and Abbey Wade of Pittsburgh, PA and Joseph Rovas of Washington Township, Michigan; a niece, Pat Carney and husband Jim of Barrington, RI; a great niece, Kate Weiner and husband Ben and great nephew, Brian Carney and wife Lorenia all of RI. She was the mother of the late David Wade and Ronald Wade and sister of the late Dorothy O’Brien.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 9:00 am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford followed by burial in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to Mallards Landing Retirement Center, 4601 S.
