

Born in Berkley, a daughter of the late Joseph Furtado Jr. and Esther (Griffith) Furtado, she had resided in New Bedford since 1952. She was a graduate of Dighton High School.
Mrs. Rayner enjoyed the comforts of her home and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Comfort and her husband Charles of New Bedford; a son, Thomas L. Rayner and his wife Katherine of Fairhaven; a sister, Evelyn Driscoll of Taunton; two grandchildren, Matthew Rayner and his wife Elizabeth of Mattapoisett and Nathan Rayner and his wife Lynn of Acushnet; four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Alex, Brian and Andrew Rayner.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 9-10:30am in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial in Acushnet Cemetery.
