Emily Cabral

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Sylvia) Sameiro, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford.

Mrs. Cabral had worked as a stitcher at Ronnie Manufacturing until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, making clothes and spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Brian A. Cabral and Kevin A. Cabral and his companion Robean; one daughter, Heidi Bairos; two brothers, Antone and Joseph Sameiro all of New Bedford; six grandchildren, Erin Raymond, Bradford and Joshua Bairos, Brittny, Chelsea and Jessica Cabral; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Margaret Gauthier.

Her Funeral will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 8am from the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford with a Funeral Mass at 9am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 3-6pm.
