

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Napoleon and Aurore (LeClair) Carrier. He lived in East Freetown most of his life.
He was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, he served in Europe. Formerly employed at Otis Air Force Base, he was a member of the VFW in Freetown, enjoyed the Red Sox, playing cards and being with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife, two sons; Thomas Carrier of Wareham, Gary Carrier and his wife Carol of East Freetown and two daughters; Cheryl and her husband Phillip Belliveau of East Freetown and Avis Lecuyer of East Freetown. He was also the father of the late George R. Carrier. He was the beloved grandfather of Nathaniel Belliveau, Joshua Lecuyer, Aimee Belliveau, Heather Carvalho, Gary Carrier II, Nicholas Lecuyer, Corey Carrier, Rita Chapdelaine and Bethany Carrier and great grandfather of Preston Belliveau, MacKenzie Carrier, Caroline Lecuyer, Lauren Carrier, Audrey Carvalho, Gary Carrier III, Lilly Lecuyer, Joseph D. Carvalho and Jordyn Souza.
His Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 10 AM in Saint John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Road, East Freetown. Burial in Assonet Burial Ground.
