

Helen “Memere” D. (Levielle) Boulay, age 82, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Care One New Bedford. She was the wife of Lucien “Frenchy” Boulay with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late William and Maryanne (Bergeron) Levielle. She worked part-time as a hairdresser for 20 years and loved taking care of her grandchildren. Helen was a member of the ACA Club and was a Gold Star Mother.
Survivors include a son Mark W. Boulay and his wife Anne of Rochester, a daughter Suzanne Bouchard and her husband Joseph of New Bedford, eight grandchildren, Stephanie Boulay of New Bedford, Amanda Boulay and her companion Kenny Martin of Rochester, Erika Boulay of Rochester, Dr. Jason Laliberte and his wife Stephanie of Maryland, Scott Laliberte and his partner Shea Brossett of Louisiana, Justine Frezza and her husband Scott of Dartmouth, Christy Rapoza and Craig Bouchard both of New Bedford, one great grandchild Juliette Paige Laliberte of Maryland and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of a deceased son, Warrant Officer Paul L. Boulay of the U. S. Army who passed away in Germany in 1984 and the sister of the late Rita Desmaris.
