Henry L. Jussaume Jr., age 77, passed away unexpectedly on October 2, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. He was the husband of Christina (Ferreira) Jussaume, to whom he had been married for 57 years.
He was born in New Bedford, the son of the late Henry L. and Jeannette (Gallo) Jussaume.
Henry was employed with the Town of Freetown for 35 years with the Highway Department until his retirement. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching sports, especially the Celtics and Patriots.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughter Michelle Medeiros and her husband Serafim of Acushnet; two grandchildren Alexis Medeiros and Colby Medeiros; a sister Jacqueline Alphonse and a nephew. He was also the brother of the late Robert and Donald Jussaume.
His Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 9-11am in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Service at 11am in the funeral home. His Burial with Military Honors will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery in New Bedford.
