Born in Obnize, Poland a daughter of the late Jan and Sofia Stepkowska she grew up there before coming to America in 1964 to work in a bakery with her uncle. There, she met and fell in love with Raymond and a year later, they welcomed their son, Herbert.
Mrs. Peets worked a various factories in the area. In her spare time, she enjoyed BINGO, sewing, knitting, and taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Herbert Peets of Acushnet; three grandchildren, Bret Peets, Alex Peets, and Melissa Peets, a grandson Hunter James Peets, two sisters Danuta Jasinski of Connecticut, Anna Sokolowska of Poland, and a cousin Agnieszka Agi of New York.
