
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late John and Herminia Roderiques, he was a lifelong resident of the city. Mr. Roderiques was employed as a Truck Driver for Luzo Food Service for over 30 years. He later went on to drive the sanitation trucks for the City of New Bedford for 12 years until his retirement.
He also served his county in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his 2 children James J. Roderiques of Steilacoom, WA and Joann M. Roderiques-Lemon of Lakebay, WA; two grandchildren Jessica A. Roderiques of Lakewood, WA and Rachell A. Roderiques-Lemon of Lakebay, WA; a sister Mary Duarte of New Bedford and several nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 10 AM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Family will receive friends prior to his service from 9 AM to 10 AM. Entombment will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne.
