

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Joseph B. and Olga W. (Pietkiewicz) Hoyle, he had resided in East Freetown for the past 47 years. He was a graduate of Apponequet High School.
He worked as a photographer for the past 33 years and previously was a fisherman out of New Bedford for 20 years. He was a member of the Fisherman’s Union.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Harris and her husband Steve of East Freetown; a brother, Stanley Hoyle and his life companion Sharon of Illinois; three grandchildren, Joseph Butler and his companion Katie of Lakeville, Andrew Butler of Lakeville and Rachel Cabral of Freetown; and one great-grandchild, Cameron Butler of Lakeville.
