Judith V. Baptista

Born in Brava, Cape Verde, she grew up there before coming to America.

She loved to go to the casinos to play slots, watching Family Feud and traveling. Most importantly, she loved to be around her family.

She is survived by her children, Ana Lobo and her husband Antonio, Maria Gonsalves and her husband Raul, Elisa Goncalves and her husband Celso all from New Bedford, Joao Baptista and his wife Ana of Pawtucket, and Jasmine Scott and her husband Terance of Colorado; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Joao Vieira and sister of the late Maria Lopes and Caroline (Nuquinha) Lopes.

Her visitation will be on Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM in ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, MA. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Assumption Church, 47 S.
