Marie C. (Nolette) Feliciano, 68, of New Bedford, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Her final days were filled with love and laughter surrounded by family. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Sweeney) Nolette.
She is survived by her loving children, Hannah Allain and her husband Kyle of New Bedford, and Jimmy Feliciano Jr. and his partner Karina Castro of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Talan and Khloe Marie Allain of New Bedford; her identical twin sister and best friend, Elizabeth Moreau of New Bedford; her sisters, Carol Sowa and her husband Peter of Maryland, Kathy Motta of Maryland; two godchildren, David Richard Motta and Bonnie Wolf, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister in law of the late Ronald Moreau.
Marie was a graduate of New Bedford High School, received her Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science, and worked for many years as an office manager and medical transcriptionist. When asked to describe Marie people would say resilient and strong. She had a fierce love for her family and always stuck beside them through thick and thin. Her biggest blessing and love in life was being a mother to her children Hannah and Jimmy. She shared an immense love for her two grandchildren Talan and Khloe Marie who brought her pride and joy everyday. Marie loved many things in addition to her family and friends, the color red, reading, Coca-Cola, cooking, her dogs, cats, grand dogs and grand cats, Munchos and Fritos -in the same bowl, and watching prophecies with Liz. Everyone who knew Marie knew she gave her life to the Lord at an early age and ever since had a relationship with him and praised him. Through all of her endeavors in life she refused to give up and always gave her worries to God. She was a fearless and selfless woman who put other people before herself. While she was sick she kept her eyes on God praying Psalm 103 and always believed and trusted the plan He had for her. Marie was very passionate about her faith; she would like to remind her family to follow in her footsteps and keep their eyes on the Lord so they can join her in heaven one day. She wants everyone to know that she is with God, happy and healed. Marie shared that she will send dragonflies and larks from heaven to remind everyone she is thinking of them and with them.
