Muriel Jeanne Parent

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Emile Parent Sr and the late Constance (Surprenant) Parent, she was a graduate of St. Anthony’s High School and has been a lifelong resident of the city.

Muriel started her career in the medical field as a Phlebotomist at St. Luke’s Hospital where she worked for several year before becoming a Medical Technician and working at Truesdale Clinic and later at Prima Care in Fall River before retiring.

Muriel is survived by her five siblings, Paul Parent of Acushnet, Gerard Parent and his wife Deborah of New Bedford, Marc Parent and his wife Cheryl of New Bedford, Louise Parent of New Bedford and Paulette Parent of Taunton and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Emile Parent Jr, Charles Parent and his wife Noemia.

Rest in peace dear sister, you will forever be loved and missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Muriel and Noemia’s Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 12PM in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1359 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford.
