Paul Albert Babineau

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Orias and Fedora (DeBlois) Babineau, he was a longtime Fairhaven resident before moving to New Bedford 14 years ago.

A graduate of Fairhaven High School, Paul went on to receive his Associates Degree from LaSalle Extension University and would serve his country in the United States Coast Guard for six years during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War.

Paul was employed as a Facilities Designer with Jacob’s Engineering and Macom-Lowell.

In addition to his loving wife, Paul is survived by four daughters, Pamela Babineau of New Bedford, Piper Silva of New Bedford, Krystle Bradshaw of New Bedford and Stacey Fernandes of Mattapoisett; nine grandchildren, Ryan Babineau, Louie Adao, Tyler Lopes, Cody Leonardo, Hunter Lopes, Gage Pond, the late Colin Lopes, Brooklyn Silva, Oliver Bradshaw and Trinity Bradshaw; a sister Jeannine Martin of California, brother of the late Raymond Babineau, his godson Kevin Alves who was like a son to him and several nieces and nephews.

His private funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven.

His arrangements are in the care of the Rock Funeral Home in New Bedford.
