Born in Fairhaven, a daughter of the late Joseph Alfred and Catherine (Brochu) Demanche, she was a lifelong resident of the Southcoast. Pauline was a graduate of the Sacred Hearts Academy in Fairhaven and was the co-owner of Norm’s Fish and Chip and Norm’s Catering.
Pauline loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven. She enjoyed traveling, especially the family trips to Canada to visit with family.
She is survived by her children, Denise Portelance of New Bedford, Donald Portelance and his wife Marianne of Fairhaven and Daniel Portelance and his wife Rachel of Marion; three grandsons, Nicholas, Evan and Aaron; a great-grandson, Kayden; two brothers, Paul Demanche and Robert B.Demanche and his wife Jeannette; two sister in-laws, Lillian and Gladys Demanche. She was the sister of the late Armand, Roger and Maurice Demanche.
