

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Norman and Marion (Hodson) Munroe, he was a lifelong area resident.
A graduate of Apponequet Regional High School, class of 1970, Raymond was a jack of all trades who worked as a packer for Sunbeam Bakery and a Technician at New England Plastics before owning his own business, Quik Signs, and later was an associate at the Home Depot. He was a Boy Scout Leader, showed his beloved dog Teedra with the Wampanoag Kennel Club, and entered ballroom dancing competitions with his wife. He enjoyed canoeing, camping, riding his bike, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Nicole Olejarz of New Bedford and Michelle McGrevy and her husband Shannon of Virginia Beach, four grandchildren: Mariah Munroe, Melissa Olejarz, and Makenzi and Conner McGrevy, four siblings: Nancy Landreville and her husband Norman of East Freetown, Gary Munroe and his wife Cynthia of Swansea, Debra Isidorio and her husband Robert of East Freetown and Sharon Martowska and her husband Wayne of Mansfield, two uncles: Donald Munroe and Franklin Hodson and his wife Carole, many nieces and nephews.
