Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Joseph and Rose M. (Loranjo) Sasseville, he was a lifelong resident.
Ray worked as a machinist at Titleist and Blount Foods. Ray was an accomplished bowler. He also enjoyed fishing and working with machines - including cars. Mr. Sasseville was involved with the Special Olympics and would often travel abroad to assist people with special needs.
He is survived by his son, Danny Sasseville and his wife Nancy of Somerset; a brother, Eugene Sasseville of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Aaron and Andrew; two sisters, Brenda and Donna of AL; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Michael Sasseville and brother of the late Kenneth Sasseville.
