Dear Mr. Spirlet, I am so sorry for the loss of your father.  He certainly did a wonderful job raising a son who turned out to be the best teacher I've everf had. Catholic.  I would see him at daily Mass and always had a great smile when greeting us in Church.  Surely, He is with God and all the Saints.

Dear Mr. Spirlet,

I am so sorry for your recent loss.  May your father rest in peace.  I know this is a difficult time for you and your family.  You will feel better in time and you will feel closer than ever before to him as you carry your love for your father in your heart and he will remain alive in your memories.

Your dad must have been a wonderful father, as he raised such a wonderful son.  You are one of the greatest teachers at GNBRVTHS.  I was one of the lucky students at Voke Tech, as you were my teacher for Earth Science (Cosmetology, Class of 1983).  My son, Justin Amaral, who is a Freshmen in your Algebra class has the good fortune of having you as one of his teachers.  Justin has been coming home and sharing with us your wisdom that you impart to him and his peers.  You have told him and his class to love and respect their parents and to not take for granted the time we have with each other on this Earth. Also, to work hard and give of yourself to others.  So, please know that what you teach, beyond the curriculm you must follow at Voke Tech, does not go unheard, unnoticed...at least not for one student in your Freshmen Algebra Class...nor did it go unappreciated by your student back in 1983.  Thank you and God bless you for everything that you do.   I know it is very hard to lose our loved ones.  I lost my mom in April 1985 to cancer and my dad in January 2010 to congestive heart failure.  I feel like an orphan now.  But, it does get better and what helps is to continue to honor them by doing good "while we are here."  

Again, I am so sorry for the loss of your father.  May God be with you and your family during this difficult time.

To Alan Spirlet:  You have my deepest condolences on the lost of your father.  I too experienced a great lost of my wife of 53 years two days before Christmas.  I didn't even know she had cancer.
