Richard Normand Gagne

He was born in New Bedford, the son of Walter R. and Jeanne R. (Sabourn) Gagne of N. Dartmouth, was a 1993 graduate of Tiverton High School and later earned his Associates Degree from New England Tech. Rich was a self-employed contractor for several years working alongside his father.

Rich loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be remembered as a loving family man and a tremendous step-father who will be missed by many.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a sister Melissa Gagne of N. Dartmouth; a brother Michael R. Gagne of Eagle Mountain, UT; a step-son Trevor John Kobza of Fairhaven; niece and nephew Kylee and Kaleb Gagne; mother in-law Debra Ann (Santos) Fernandes of Fairhaven; father in-law John Fernandes III of New Bedford;” Nana and Papa” Olive and Jack Santos of Acushnet and many friends.

His Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 10AM in St. George’s Church 12, Highland Ave., Westport, MA. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7pm in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will be private.
