Roger P. Dugas, age 75, of New Bedford passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Hathaway Manor. He was the husband of Jacqueline (Gosselin) Dugas.
A lifelong New Bedford resident, he was the son of the late Romeo and Florence (Descheneaux) Dugas. Roger attended SMU (now the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth) and was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict Era. Roger was a lieutenant at the Bristol County House of Correction for 27 years until his retirement.
He enjoyed working on the computer and spending time with his family.
Survivors in addition to his wife are his 4 children, Monique Savage of New Bedford; Michael Dugas of Lakeville; Maureen Dugas of New Bedford and Marc Dugas of New Bedford; 4 grandchildren Melissa Butts, Dean, Brianna and Jake Dugas all of New Bedford, 2 brothers, William Dugas and the late Gerald Dugas and 2 nephews.
