Roland N. Archambault

Roland N. Archambault, age 83, passed away, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Elizabeth B. (Tomkiewicz) Archambault to whom he had been married for 58 years.

Mr. Archambault was a lifelong New Bedford resident. He was the son of the late Alfred and Robertine A. (Davignon) Archambault.

Roland was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict Era. He enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and loved spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his 2 sons; Paul R. Archambault and his wife Pamela of Fairhaven, David J. Archambault and his wife Diane of New Bedford, 2 daughters; Dianne R. Desrosiers and her companion Howard Bullock of East Freetown, Ann Marie Thomas and her husband James of New Bedford, 8 grandchildren; Paul Desrosiers and his wife Jody, Derek Desrosiers and his wife Jessica, Nicole DeMoranville and her husband Buzz, Benjamin Thomas and his wife Melissa, Gregory Thomas and his wife Megan, Heather Beaulieu, Kellie Archambault, Raymond Barao III, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.He was the brother of the late Rita A. Charpentier.

His funeral will be held Monday, January 23, 2012 at 10:30am at ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Visiting Hours Sunday from 4 to 7pm. Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
