Ruth E. Rafuse

Born in Winchester, MA, the daughter of the late Peter J. and Zelma (Dagley) Thibeault, she had resided in New Bedford for the past 55 years.

Mrs. Rafuse was a member of the South Baptist Church, the Friendship Circle, the ACA French Club, the Mt. Carmel Seniors and the Church Women United. She was a woman of faith who enjoyed traveling and gardening.

She also had a soft spot for all animals and had rescued many stray cats which she would provide a warm and loving home to.

She leaves behind her nephews, Tony Thibeault, Peter Thibeault, Garry Thibeault of Sudbury Ontario and Michael Herman and Paul Herman of Halifax, Nova Scotia; Canada. She was the mother of the late Kevin Douglas Rafuse and sister of the late George Thibeault and Rita Herman.
