Simone Alma Simmons

Simone A. Simmons passed away on February 3, 2026 at Tobey Hospital after a brief illness. She was 84 years old. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Simmons. The couple were married for over 50 years.

Simone is survived by her two sons, Craig R. Simmons of Dartmouth, MA and Brian K. Simmons and his wife Cynthia of Taunton, MA.

She had four grandchildren who were the light of her life. Audrey, Juliette, Jillian, and Jackson Simmons were an endless source of comfort, care, and love for their grandmother.

She was the sister of the late Henry Saindon, Jeanette Sylvia, Doris Gilbert, and Ida Cleveland. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Simone worked at several companies in many different positions. The latest being as a cashier at Ocean State Job Lot, a job she enjoyed well into her eighties. Her true calling, however, was that of a wife, mother, and grandmother. These were the vocations that filled her years with love and joy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 9, 2026, at 10:00 am in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 121 Mt Pleasant St, New Bedford, MA, 02740. Relatives and friends are invited.
