

Suzanne (Sylvia) Senra, a beloved resident of New Bedford, Massachusetts, passed away at home on March 21, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on November 19, 1964, in Providence, Rhode Island, Suzanne spent the majority of her life in New Bedford. She was the cherished daughter of Joanne E. (Brightman) Borges and her husband Frederick of New Bedford.
Suzanne was a proud graduate of New Bedford High School. She furthered her education by earning a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and a master's degree in taxation from Northeastern University.
Professionally, Suzanne was a dedicated tax accountant and the owner of Seaside Tax Accounting & Tax Solutions, Inc. Her passion for her work was well-known and appreciated by her clients and colleagues alike.
Family was the cornerstone of Suzanne's life. She is survived by her four children: Michael Senra of Easton, Pennsylvania; Stacy Paasché and her husband Stuart of Fort Myers, Florida; Paul Rego Jr. of New Bedford; and Brian Rego of New Bedford. Suzanne was also a devoted grandmother to her two grandchildren, Claire and Owen Paasché.
She leaves behind six siblings: Walter Sylvia III and his wife Teri of Los Angeles, California; Richard Sylvia of New Bedford and his wife Rachel; Frederick Borges Jr. and his wife Janet of Acushnet; Gina Baron and her husband Hugh of Agoura Hills, California; Pamela DosSantos and her husband Cris of New Bedford; and Theodore Borges and his wife Michelle of Dartmouth. Suzanne's extended family includes many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her.
In her personal life, Suzanne loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She travelled the world with her children and parents, visiting places such as the Azores, Germany, Egypt, Greece, Italy and Spain. She was renowned for her cooking, taking the lead on many Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rock Funeral Home, located at 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Her Funeral will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 9:00 am from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St., New Bedford. Burial will follow at Acushnet Cemetery, Main St, Acushnet.
Suzanne's life was a testament to her love for her family, her dedication to her profession, and her tenacity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
