Theresa Baszak

Born in Tarnow-Klikowa, Poland, a daughter of the late John and Eva (Pasieka) Gembala. Theresa was a longtime resident of New Bedford. She was employed as a stitcher for Calvin Clothing and Titlist prior to her retirement.

Theresa loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She was extremely proud of her Polish heritage.

She is survived by her children, Ted Baszak and his wife Leslie, John Baszak and Mary Ann Ponte; her grandchildren, Jacqueline, Timothy, Jonathan and Ethan, her great-grandchildren, Beatrix, Phillippa, Jonah, Josiah and Cali; her siblings, Stan Gembala, Mary Holland, Etta Scavatto and Raymond Gembala. She was the sister of the late Jane O'Brien and her late twin sister Josephine Dubiel.

A visitation will take place at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA, 02745, on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at the same venue from 2:30 pm to 2:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated.
