Born in New Bedford, son of the late John and Mary Pequita, he was a lifelong resident of the city.
Tim proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a self-employed landscaper who loved gardening and plants of all kinds.
A proud man of Portuguese heritage, he was a member of the Madeira Club and involved in the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament. Tim was a member of the Fifth Chapter Motorcycle Club, a brotherhood with a strong bond. He led the Fifth Chapter in providing children of the Southcoast with toys. He was a past member of the Patriot Riders and commemorated the lives of others. A self-made man who gave freely of himself, Tim was 31 years clean and sober and an active member of the recovery community. Tim impacted the lives of many, a good man gone too soon.
He is survived by his daughter, Misty Clark of New Bedford; a son, Tim Clark of Acushnet; a brother, Dave Pequita and his wife Nancy of New Bedford; a sister, Rosemary Silva of Florida; two grandchildren, Scott Clark and Adryana Kelly; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 6:30-9:00pm in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. A Memorial Service will begin at 8:00pm. Flowers are welcome.
